Sidneys 9th Birthday

Another year around the sun for my oldest baby. This is  always a time for me to reflect and remember all the good and the bad since she has come in to our lives. This year Sidney grew so much in all that she was learning, doing and experiencing.

As I opened my devotional this morning todays entry was about memories that we make and pass on to our children. How that fit right in for today. The memories that I have of how Sidney came in to our lives are both good and hard to think about.

 4 months along Mt. Rainer
As I was growing up I never had that motherly instinct. I was ok with my sisters but not as babies. Babies weren't my thing. I remember saying and feeling that I would never get married. I wanted to keep my family name going. God had other plans for me.

We are a family
Here were are today with a smart, humors, joyful young lady. Striving to learn, explore and become who God wants her to be. I am so very blessed to be Sidney's mother. I well LOVE YOU FOREVER my first born. xoxoxo

Hawaiian Annivsary/ Make up Honeymoon

OK the long awaited blog about our Hawaii trip. We had so much fun. Jeremy and I had some much need rest and relaxation. In the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. I was in such a shock that I was even really going to such a place. I couldn't sleep very well the couple nights before. My plane ride there was pleasant with to wonderful people I sat next too. I forgot to bring a book or something so I kind of just listen to the 2 nice people talk across me. Like I said I was in shock to be going to Hawaii so I didn't have much to say. I arrived and was greeted at baggage claim with a lay and a nice Hawaiian necklace. I was ready to get in to some shorts and see this island. We headed back to base where he drove me strait to the ocean area they have.  I was hungry and tired so we headed back to the room.  It was so nice to be away from reality. We did so many fun things that I don't know if I could should bore you with the details. We enjoyed Hawaii and can't wait to take the girls back some day. Thank You Jeremy for taking me on a Honeymoon.

March and Febuary

I can't believe another month is almost over. Where has the time gone. It is really starting to feel like spring around here. We have been loving the warmer temps during the day. I can run outside with out my nose hairs freezing.

My Leprechaun
St. Patricks Day was nice. We had a wonderful dinner made by my Step MIL Karen. Made up of Corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, rice, salad, green drinks (made up by FIL Keith). The girls made Leprechaun masks. I had planed on making soda bread but ran out of time since I helped the girls make the leprechaun masks.

Another important event in March was our friend Emily's youngest child Avagail got her first surgery and is doing great. I was able to take the whole day and spend it with her at the hospital. The girls did great. I was so glad I was able to be there for Emily. She lives in Sand Point, AK. For those of you who don't know it is a very small fishing island. She has to fly to Anchorage to see the doctor for anything major.  I love seeing them when they are in town.

During Spring break we went and saw the Lorax. I was very surprised how Ashlynn did I have never taken her to the theater. (Her dad has and so has our friend Melissa.) We had a great day with 2 awesome people.
